Abstract As the assemblage of visible, audible, and otherwise textualized languages public space, linguistic landscape forms a rich context for understanding how material environmental affordances affect language learning, teachers can bring their L2 curricula to life. Whether it is within four walls school, in nearby neighborhood, or virtual telecollaborative environments, chapters this volume illustrate such diverse configurations space lend themselves literacy while also contributing learners’ critical cultural historical awareness. Before inviting reader volume’s nine chapters, introduction outlines history significance “space” teaching learning research, topic significant interest innovation education today.
